Shuna ensures her clients feel heard and supported as they navigate their legal issues. Shuna’s goal is always to give realistic and proper guidance to clients navigating a difficult situation. She applies her experience and understanding of the law and easy-going manner with people to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

As a barrister and solicitor, Shuna advocates for her client in and outside the courtroom both on her own and with the advice and experience of more senior lawyers at our firm. She helps her clients navigate personal injury claims, as well as employment and commercial disputes.

Shuna obtained her J.D. at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2020, and was called to the Alberta bar in August 2021. Prior to law school, she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies at the University of Lethbridge where she was elected President and VP Internal Affairs of the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union. Shuna advocated for U of L students before the Municipal, Provincial, and Federal government.

While at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, Shuna volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and participated extensively in the Faculty’s mooting program, where she won both the Alberta Court of Appeal Moot and the Western Canadian Family Law Negotiation Competition. While she looks to find the best solution for her client, Shuna emphasizes the importance of working with the client to ensure they understand all their options.

Shuna measures success through client satisfaction and the trust she builds with each individual. She is an accomplished advocate, experienced public speaker, and enjoys giving back to her community. Outside of work, Shuna enjoys hiking, running, trying new food and restaurants, and spending time with her dog, Newt.
